Biography

A working model since the age of 16, Diaz originally auditioned for the smaller part of a reporter but snared the female lead in "The Mask" (1994) after 12 subsequent call-backs and managed to hold her own opposite the film`s over-the-top star Jim Carrey.

Among her more notable subsequent feature roles came in the comedy "Feeling Minnesota" (1996), and "She`s the One" (also 1996). She was then cast in a delightful, career-making role in the popular romantic comedy "My Best Friend`s Wedding" (1997) Full Bio, Awards & Milestones
